It is easy to get to the Elverum region both by car and bus. There are also rail services to the area. The majority of our national and international visitors come via Oslo and Oslo Airport Gardermoen.
For those travelling by car: All roads lead to the Elverum region: If you are travelling from the Oslo area, you can get to the region either via the E6 road or via the E16 and FV 24 roads. From Sweden and Kongsvinger, you can take the RV 2 road through Solør and Finnskogen.
If you are travelling from the north, the RV 3 road takes you through Østerdalen to Åmot municipality and on to Elverum. From Trysil and the west, it is easy to get to the region via the RV 25 road.
For those travelling by train: There are departures every hour from Oslo to Hamar, from where there are connections to Elverum and Rena on the Røros Railway. For timetables etc., see www.nsb.no
For those travelling by bus: You can take the ELVERUMekspressen bus service from Oslo to Elverum, see www.nettbuss.no. Another options is the Trysilekspressen, http://www.boreal.no/trysilekspressen-hedmark/category678.html.
